estré has two studios in Bangalore: Kudlu Gate (workshop and showroom) and Millers Road (showroom). Both are open every day, 10am to 7pm.

What materials does estré use?

estré publishes a product-specific construction profile and confirms the final build on the order specification. Frames are built in kiln-dried pine, with teak or other specified solid wood used for exposed components or where a product is specifically designed around them; structural panels are 12–16mm commercial-grade plywood; foam is always high-density, minimum 32D regardless of the comfort level chosen (hard, soft, super-soft, latex or memory foam); webbing or spring support; upholstery and selected hardware. Exact grade, thickness and mechanism vary by product and configuration.

Can I customise size, fabric, and finish?

Yes. Every made-to-order estré piece is customisable across three steps: Choose Your Spatial Story (design, width, seat height, size, orientation), Define Your Comfort Code (texture, build, recline fit, fabric tier), and Refine Your Final Finish (base, legs, final review).

What is estré Quick Ship?

Quick Ship is a curated selection of estré pieces — finished and held in our warehouse, ready to ship in 7 days within Bangalore. Same materials and craftsmanship as made-to-order. Limited inventory, rotates regularly.

Does estré offer free design consultations?

Yes. estré offers free 60-minute design consultations with our design lead, at our Kudlu Gate or Millers Road studios, or at your home anywhere in Bangalore. No commitment required.

Q: How long does it take to receive my furniture from estré?

Made-to-order pieces are built in 14–25 days from the date of order. Quick Ship pieces — a curated selection of finished inventory — ship in 7 days within Bangalore.

Q: How many fabrics does estré offer?

estré offers over 4,000 fabric options across four tiers: Comfort-Zone, Leatherette, Exclusive Collections, and Vegan & Genuine Leather. All fabrics can be touched in person at our Kudlu Gate or Millers Road studios.

Q: What is the warranty?

estré sofa warranty starts from the date of delivery: 7 years on the structural frame, 3 years on foam and cushion core with 2 years for Super Soft foam, 1 year on stitching and upholstery workmanship, and 1 year on mechanisms, hardware, and moving components where applicable. The warranty applies to the original purchaser under normal residential use, subject to exclusions and claim procedure.

Q: Does estré pick up old furniture at delivery?

Yes. estré offers paid old-furniture pickup at the time of delivery — sofas, beds, mattresses, dining sets, anything you're replacing. Same trip, same crew, no second visit. Flat fee: ₹3,000.

Every estré piece is made to order, so your final price depends on the size, fabric and comfort you choose. The website shows the MRP for a standard configuration, inclusive of GST. Each piece shows its MRP and its festive price for a standard configuration, inclusive of GST. Your final price for your size and fabric is confirmed at the studio and written on your quotation.

How long does it take to receive my furniture? +

Made-to-order pieces are built in fourteen to twenty-five days from the date of order. Quick Ship pieces — a curated selection we keep finished in our warehouse — ship in seven days within Bangalore. Both timelines are firm; we don't pad them.

How many fabrics do you actually offer? +

Over 4,000 fabrics, across four tiers — Comfort-Zone, Leatherette, Exclusive Collections, and Vegan & Genuine Leather. You can touch every one of them at our Kudlu Gate or Millers Road studios. If you bring us a swatch we don't carry, we'll often source it.

Where are your studios? +

Two studios in Bangalore. Kudlu Gate is the workshop and showroom — that's where the pieces are actually made. Millers Road is a showroom. Both are open every day, 10am to 7pm. No appointment needed.

What materials do you use? +

16mm BWP (boiling-water-proof) plywood for frames. Kiln-dried Indonesian pine. 32-density minimum, varies by comfort level polyurethane foam. Stitching at eight stitches per inch, single-needle topstitch. Every spec is named because every spec is verifiable.

What's the warranty? +

Sofa warranty starts from the date of delivery: seven years on the structural frame, three years on foam and cushion core (two years for Super Soft foam), one year on stitching and upholstery workmanship, and one year on mechanisms, hardware, and moving components where applicable. Paid re-upholstery and repair service may be available beyond warranty.

Can I really customise the size, fabric, and finish? +

Documentation rule. Exact grade, thickness, density, hardware model and performance claims follow the final order specification. Low-emission, fire-retardant, abrasion or sustainability claims appear only when they apply to the selected material and documentation is available.

Our story

We started with a question. Five years later, we're still answering it.

A founder's note from Shashidhar Pai, on what estré is, what it isn't, and why we make furniture this way.

Why is most furniture in India either cheap and disposable, or expensive and imported, or made by a craftsman who's brilliant in person and inconsistent at scale? I spent two decades in real estate before founding estré. I saw too many homeowners go through the same circular conversation. The off-the-shelf sofa from a marketplace that didn't quite fit the room. The imported piece that took twelve weeks and cost too much. The local upholsterer's work that looked great in the showroom and uneven six months later. The "designer" furniture that turned out to be a markup, not a difference.

We started estré in 2021 to skip all of that.

The premise, without ornament.

There's no secret sauce. There's no proprietary technology. There's a workshop, a fabric library, two studios, and a small team that genuinely cares whether your sofa fits the room. The premise was, and is, simple:

Make the sofa where it's bought.Not imported, not white-labelled, not assembled from someone else's parts.
Use materials you can verify.Specifications are listed per piece — frame, foam, stitching, joinery. Where the choice is genuinely distinctive, the spec sheet says so: Neem wood for monsoon-stable bedrooms, dual-motor mechanisms hidden behind sofa profiles, imported residential-grade seat belts on leather sofas. The rest is industry baseline — important, listed, verifiable, but not the marketing.
Let the customer choose.Dimensions, fabric, finish — the piece is built for the room it's going in, not for the average of a hundred customers.
Don't keep stock.Make to order. (Quick Ship is a small, curated exception.)
Charge what it costs to do it well.And explain the cost honestly.

We don't compete on price. We compete on substance.

What we make.

We make upholstered furniture — sofas, sectionals, recliners, beds, dining sets, and the chairs and benches that go with them. Everything is made to order in our Kudlu Gate workshop. Every piece moves through three steps, the same three steps we walk every customer through:

1. Choose Your Spatial Story.

Design, width, seat height, size, orientation. The shape of the piece, sized to your room. We start where the room starts.

2. Define Your Comfort Code.

Texture, build, recline fit, fabric tier. The feel of it — honest cottons to deep velvets, manual to electric, soft to structured. Over four thousand fabrics, across four tiers.

3. Refine Your Final Finish.

Base, legs, the last decisions. Then the order goes to our workshop. Three to four weeks later, it's at your door.

Two studios. One workshop.

We have two physical spaces in Bangalore. Kudlu Gate is the workshop and showroom — the sofa being made next door is on display in front. You can see your specific piece while it's being built. Millers Road is the showroom only — closer to the city centre, easier to visit on a weekday lunch.

Both are open every day, 10 to 7. No appointment needed. Bring a floor plan if you have one.

What is not covered.

The warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear.
Fabric fading, discoloration, pilling, or stretching caused by use.
Damage caused by sunlight, moisture, humidity, or environmental conditions.
Cuts, scratches, burns, stains, pet damage, or accidental damage.
Improper handling, misuse, abuse, or negligence.
Commercial, institutional, rental, or hospitality use.
Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or modifications.
Damage resulting from improper cleaning methods or chemicals.
Variations in color, texture, grain, or natural characteristics of fabrics and leather.
Customer-supplied materials or accessories.

Customer responsibilities.

Follow all care and maintenance instructions provided by estré.
Retain the original purchase invoice.
Report defects promptly upon discovery.
Allow reasonable access for inspection and service.

How to make a warranty claim.

To initiate a claim, send the following to Customer Care at support@estre.in or WhatsApp us at +91 8722 200 100:

Copy of the original invoice.
Product photographs and/or videos showing the issue.
Detailed description of the defect.
Contact information.

estré may arrange an on-site inspection or request additional information before approving a claim.

Service terms and legal basis.

Service terms. Repairs and replacements do not extend the original warranty period. Replacement parts may differ slightly in color, texture, or appearance due to manufacturing variations. Transportation costs outside standard service areas may be chargeable. Warranty service is provided within a reasonable period after claim approval.

Limitation of liability. estré's liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts or products. estré is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the product.

Transferability. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is not transferable without written approval from estré.

Governing law. The warranty is governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Beyond warranty: paid lifetime service.

The limited warranty is free. Beyond it, estré can re-upholster or repair pieces at cost where repair is practical and materials are available.

If your sofa is years old and the upholstery is showing wear, send it in or ask for pickup. The frame stays; the upholstery changes. We quote paid service after inspection.

These terms govern your use of estre.in and the purchase of estré furniture, whether ordered through this website, our studios, or our staff visiting your home. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, but they're still binding — read carefully.

01.Who we are.

estré is operated by Estre Global Private Limited, a company registered in Karnataka, India. Our registered office is in Bangalore. For all communications, write to support@estre.in or WhatsApp +91 8722 200 100.

02.What we sell.

We design, manufacture, and sell upholstered furniture. Most products are made to order — we do not hold stock. Some products are part of our Quick Ship range, which is held in inventory and ships in 7 days within Bangalore.

We also offer re-upholstery and repair service for furniture purchased from us.

03.Ordering.

Orders may be placed online, in our studios, by WhatsApp, or through staff visiting your home.

A 50–70% deposit is required at the time of ordering, depending on the product. Custom or special orders require 100% advance payment.
An invoice with the agreed delivery date is issued within 2 working days of order confirmation.
Payment methods: bank transfer, UPI, credit/debit card via approved gateways. Cash payments require prior approval from our sales manager.

04.Pricing.

Prices listed on the website are starting prices for standard configurations.
Customisation (size, fabric tier, mechanism, finish) may increase the price; the final invoice reflects the agreed configuration.
Prices are inclusive of GST as applicable.
We currently service a 500 km radius around Bangalore. Delivery within the Greater Bangalore Authority (GBA) area is free; delivery beyond GBA, within our 500 km service radius, is chargeable and quoted at the time of order.

05.Lead time and delivery.

Standard made-to-order lead time is 14–25 days from invoice date.
Quick Ship pieces are delivered within 7 days of invoice in Bangalore.
Delivery is to your doorstep. For buildings without elevator access, carrying pieces beyond the 2nd floor is charged at ₹150 per floor beyond the 2nd floor — please flag this at order time.
We are not liable for damages incurred after delivery to the doorstep.

06.Receiving your delivery.

Please inspect the piece at the point of delivery. Defects in manufacturing must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photographic evidence. Your signed acknowledgement at delivery confirms receipt in good condition, subject to the 48-hour defect reporting window.

07.Changes, cancellations, returns, refunds.

Changes to specifications are accepted up to the start of manufacturing. After manufacturing begins, changes are not possible.
Before manufacturing starts: full refund minus a 5% processing fee.
After manufacturing starts: deposits are not refundable.
Because every piece is made to your specification, we do not accept returns for change of mind. Returns are only accepted for manufacturing defects reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Refunds, when applicable, are processed within 30 working days to the original payment method.
No refunds are processed without the original invoice.

08.Warranty.

Sofa warranty starts from the date of delivery: 7 years on the structural frame, 3 years on foam and cushion core (2 years for Super Soft foam), 1 year on stitching and upholstery workmanship, and 1 year on mechanisms, hardware, and moving components where applicable. 09.Intellectual property.

All content on estre.in — text, images, designs, product photography, the brand mark — is the property of Estre Global Private Limited and is protected under Indian copyright and intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use this content without our written permission.

The estré brand and product designs are protected. Reproducing our designs in furniture made by other manufacturers is not permitted.

10.Privacy.

Your use of estre.in is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By placing an order, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described there.

11.Limitation of liability.

estré's liability for any single order is limited to the value of the order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — for example, costs incurred from a delayed delivery beyond the value of the piece itself.

12.Disputes and jurisdiction.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or from your use of estre.in is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.

If something goes wrong, we strongly encourage talking to us first. Most issues are resolved by a phone call.

13.Updates to these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on estre.in is the operative version. Material changes (lead times, pricing structures, warranty terms) will be communicated by email to customers with active orders.

What we do not collect: saved card details (handled by our payment gateway), government IDs, sensitive personal information (financial, health).

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
Order data is stored on encrypted databases hosted with reputable providers.
Access to customer data inside estré is limited to staff with operational need.

08.Children.

estre.in is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, write to us and we'll delete it.

A typical first visit takes 60–90 minutes. There is no pressure to order on the day — most customers come twice before deciding.

Three-step journey.

A design lead joins when you signal interest. You walk through the three steps together — Spatial Story (size, design), Comfort Code (fabric, build), Final Finish (legs, last decisions).

Workshop walk-through.

If you want, the design lead will walk you through the workshop. See a piece in build, see how a frame is jointed, see the foam being cut. About 10 minutes; worth it.

We bring swatches to you.

Swatches stay in the studio — once you've booked, our technician visits with your shortlisted fabrics so you can see them in your own light before we finalise. That's the rhythm we're built for.
